Hewitt Day Construction
HewittDay are a small firm of local builders working mostly on home extensions and refurbishment projects.
Owners Chris Day and Ashley Hewitt both live in Hitchin with their families and have worked together for over 12 years. They qualified from Oaklands College, St. Albans and Barnfield College, Luton with GNVQs in Construction and the Built Environment and also NVQs in Bricklaying.
After college Chris and Ashley worked for several local builders, gaining valuable knowledge and experience, before setting up HewittDay Construction together in November 2006.
Our approach
Hewitt Day provide a personal touch to all our clients .
Since then, HewittDay have worked on numerous projects in Hitchin, Letchworth and Stevenage and the surrounding villages, including single and two storey extensions, garage conversions, new builds, barn conversions and internal and external refurbishment works.
Owners Chris and Ashley continue to pride themselves on being small enough to offer customers the personal touch whilst having the experience and knowledge to take on a wide range of projects, from a simple, single-storey kitchen extension to an ambitious barn conversion.
